Introduction:

Asphalt roofing felt ASTM D-4869 15# is known as a waterproofing material used for construction project.  it is made of raw paper, saturated with bitumen, then packed in rolls. The raw paper has a rough texture, good oil absorption, and a certain tensile strength. Generally use rags, waste paper, etc. as raw materials, high-level can be mixed with some animal hair and slag cotton, etc., directly beaten after copying. During processing, the base paper is passed through molten asphalt and extruded by hot rollers, so that the asphalt saturates the paper layer and extrudes excess asphalt. The surface is sprayed with talc powder or chip mica, etc., and cooled.

Usage:

it mainly used on slope wooden roof as secondary waterproof barrier beneath shingles and tiles. it can also be used as protection layer in subway project, or used as protection layer for wire mesh or other packing machine
